Vegas with a budget = meh…

Upon arrival in Vegas, we checked into one of the Monte Carlo Hotel's 3,002 hotel rooms and admired our view of the Strip.

Grey = Artistic

Then we walked the Strip. We went to a fun Irish pub in New York New York, ate pizza, realized Vegas was even colder than LA at night and found $4 Grey Goose cocktails at the MGM Grand for Rodeo Week!

Cowboys were everywhere!! Grey rode a mechanical bull (although this was videotaped, the footage was subsequently lost) and fell in love with cowboy boots. He thinks they are “well made”. I think he likes that they are pointy and have heels.

The next night we went off the Strip to HOT N JUICY CRAWFISH, as seen on Man vs Food. We ordered shrimp (from Ecuador) and crawfish (out of season and tiny!!) by the pound with a choice of 4 sauces (mild, medium, hot, very hot) (we chose medium). The tables were covered in plastic, there were no plates or cutlery, the food was served in bags, and it was delicious. Hands-down the best meal we had in the US.

Shrimp and Crawfish by the pound

Another Vegas highlight (apart from KGB Burgers at Hurrah’s) was our visit to Freemont Street. We saw the Freemont Street lightshow (tick), drank cocktails (tick), watched street performers (tick) and saw the "seedy-side" of Vegas (tick). Freemont Street is about as cultural as Vegas gets, and it’s not particularly cultural.

How cool are Teddy Grahams!!!
